Real Estate Educator
Goedeke taught Orientation to new Board members for the local real estate Association. She was co-developer of a real estate course on cultural diversity that won the CAR 1989 Education Leadership Award for "jumbo" boards. Margaret holds a College Certificate in Real Estate and was a long-time member of CREEA (California Real Estate Education Association) and the Coastline Community College Real Estate Advisory Association, plus several other real estate and education associations. She was a long-time member, and the Chair, of Education for her local board; the 32nd Region in Orange County, CA; and the Vice Chair of Education for the California Association of Realtors. Margaret is a Graduate, Realtors Institute (GRI) and has taken residential specialist real estate courses. She was the 1988 recipient of the CCIM scholarship ("Certified Commercial-Investment Member" of the Commercial-Investment Real Estate Institute of NAR) and completed all the upper division CCIM courses. Goedeke also had training in commercial property management from IREM (Institute of Real Estate Management) and has worked in property management for many years.
In addition to real estate education, Margaret was an instructional associate at Orange Coast College for English, Spelling, Reading and Composition, Psychology and other subjects.
Business Brokerage
In addition to commercial and residential real estate, Goedeke has been a business broker in Orange County, California. She is accomplished in business appraisal, accounting and financial records, and various accounting methods. Not only has she represented buyers and sellers of businesses, she has been a business consultant to entrepreneurs and has written business plans for new and seasoned business owners. Margaret is experienced not only in business appraisal and accounting, but also sales, management, inventory control, space planning, advertising and display.
Margaret was a member of the IBBA (International Business Brokers Association); SBOA (Society of Business Opportunity Appraisers); ASA (American Society of Appraisers) and the IBA (Institute of Business Appraisers).
